Mayor Michael Montandon used his state of the city speech to talk about youth.

He says North Las Vegas is now at the point in its maturity where it can focus on children, and building them a vibrant future.

With more youth than in any other large city in Nevada, North Las Vegas is planning for the future.

"People come here for jobs, attainable housing, the amenities, the family oriented lifestyle and a quality of life second to none in the Las Vegas Valley", Mayor Montandon says.

The median age in North Las Vegas is 28 according to the US Census Bureau.

Over 1/3 of the population is under 18.

In his sate of the city address, Mayor Montandon said North Las Vegas is taking action by providing services and amenities that appeal to the young and young at heart. More>>
